The American Academy of Family Physicians reports that , poorly-fitted shoes can cause a number of foot problems, not the least of which are blisters, calluses, and corns.
But well-fitted shoes can help relieve these and other painful foot problems. Many of us, however, don't wear properly-fitted shoes.
"I'm just surprised that so many people wear the wrong sized shoe," said Port St. Lucie podiatrist Dr Russell Blatstein. "People are wearing shoes that are too big or too small:" As a foot doctor, Blatstein sees all of the problems that can be caused by shoes that are too big or too small. But he also saw that treating foot sores, pain and wounds was only half the battle.
He knew, to prevent damage to their feet, people need high-quality shoes fit by an expert.
So he opened The Doctor's the Shoe Store next to his office in feet July. he said. The Doctor's Shoe Store is a place where everyone feel in the community can buy Bill comfortable shoes that are properly fitted, he said.
